“That’s what we storytellers do; we restore order with imagination. We instill hope, again and again and again.”
-Saving Mr. Banks
ABOUT
Francesca Savone is a performer and choreographer from Detroit, MI, currently based in New York City. As a child, Francesca was the type to write creative short stories, direct her cousins in short films, craft mini figurines to attempt to shoot her own stop-motion film, and imagine characters to act out around the house. The series Dance Academy inspired her to start ballet classes at age 9, which developed into a journey of versatile dance and musical theater training, where she found her life’s artistic passion. This journey led her to Oklahoma City University, where she earned her Bachelor of Performing Arts in Dance Performance in December 2023 from the renowned Ann Lacy School of American Dance and Entertainment.
Her aspirations span the TV/film industry, Broadway and West End theater industries, and international venues. As a multi-faceted artist with a fascination for entertainment in its many forms, Francesca is most driven towards creating art as a means of storytelling. She is intrigued by human psychology and the study of the depth and complexity of the human condition, as much as she loves to entertain for the sake of pure joy alone.
Francesca is a first-generation Italian-American, and her extended family dynamic involves a blend of Mexican and Greek heritage, which collectively influence her cultural identity and perspective. She values travel and exploring cultures of the world, especially their dance forms as a means to connect with people and infuse those influences into her own creations.
Francesca is a lover of sunny mornings, thunderstorm nights, a hot cup of coffee and a good book, a themed playlist or an album with no skips, anything vintage, a cobblestone walkway, a pirouette and a kick-ball-change, a spontaneous solo adventure, singing in the car with friends, and (perhaps above many things) the movie Princess Diaries 2.
